I came home from work today and I saw several boxes on our porch and a double stroller…wow – I was so touched by these items. Then some families stopped by tonight to drop off goods and one family went to WalMart and shopped for so many of the specified items needed plus so much more. I will personally deliver some of these items (I’m taking these on the plane) like the new kids underwear, tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap, jump ropes, animal toys, etc. I am so grateful for your generosity and so are the folks across the world.

I spoke with Missy tonight and told her of the goods that have already been dropped off. She said that word is already spreading about the goods being gathered for them. She wanted me to tell everyone that the people of Malaybalay are so, so amazed that Americans would care and love them enough to give them donations. She said this is very exciting for sure.
We are just starting…probably have a quarter to half a pallet worth of food, clothes, and misc items so far. We have lots to go so please continue to spread the word so we can meet the goal of 8 pallets by 8/21/10. Missy and I will make sure these items are delivered with love and well wishes from the people of Sandy, Utah and especially from the Highland Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
